Step 1: Getting a Domain Name Note: Before you get started with any of these steps make sure that you have signed up at ALS and have followed the instructions in your members panel to send your cash gift to your inviter. First you will need to decide on a domain name. You need to check to see what is available. Go to GoDaddy.com to search for available domain names. You can name it whatever you want but I like to stick with keywords like "Cash Gifting" or "Abundant Living System". On the other hand, it's hard to find a good domain around a competitive keyword like that. Here's an idea: try adding prefixes or suffixes in front of cashgifting or cashgifts. ie. mycashgifting.com, AlsCashGifting.com or AcmeCashGifts.com Be creative to find a domain that you like because you will be stuck with it once you get it. Also, try to avoid dashes between words to eliminate confusion when telling people your domain name. You can buy the domain there if you want but don't buy hosting there. GoDaddy seems to get your domain name resolved a lot quicker in my experience. Sometimes within a couple of hours but Host Gator (the web host I recommend) can take 24 - 48 hours to propagate worldwide. If you decide to use Host Gator to buy your domain it is one less step for you but will take longer to get your website up and running. Setting your name servers is pretty easy but you just want to make sure you do it right or you will have to wait for it to propagate every time you make a change. Step 3: Using a Good Web Host I like to use Host Gator. They are reliable and cheap. Actually I own over 25 websites and counting and I have them to be the best that I have found. You can get unlimited web space and unlimited bandwidth starting at $4.95 a month. What else would you want besides uptime and they've got that to 99.9% of the time. If you ever outgrow that you can always upgrade later but for what we are doing here this is all you need for now. Sign up at Host Gator for Hosting: $4.95/mo, Package Type: Hatchling Note: It will take 24 - 48 hours before your site propagates worldwide. So definitely don't start sending paid traffic there before then. Additional Note: If you buy your domain from GoDaddy you will need to set your name servers to ns1215.hostgator.com and ns1216.hostgator.com ... You will get an email from Host Gator ... double check with that info first. Step 4: Setting Up an Adwords Account (Optional) You can set up your Adwords account yourself or can set it up for you. They only thing that I can NOT do is enter your billing information. You will need to enter your billing information before I can give you the $100 credit. If you wish to set it up first to save some time you can by following this link to Google Adwords. Just make sure that you sign up with the Standard Edition. Here's a starter ad:
